my computer

what are the main purposes of a computer? to play games, to chat online/communication? work?

for me it is the search for information and to do some group work. occationally when im free i'll go online to chat with friends and now my sis. unfortunately, my dear o brother is "addicted to computer games". (he claims he's not). unless u call waking up at 2am to play games for endless hours not, then maybe he's right. the addiction is alright, thousands of teenagers in singapore are addicted computer games, but daddy still takes the power cable away. he wants to do something to help him. he wants to be fair.

so why take it out on me? i am not an addict.

innocent party?

the huge question is is this the right method or doing things, and does it serve its purpose in the first place. what are the consequences of his actions, and is it worth it?

nope.

people always leave

the land is green and so inviting,
you take that step to the other side,
leaving the past behind.

in the excitment of today,
too caught up in the moment,
the rest is long forgotten.

leave the world to escape the pain -
how dare you leave friends and family
to pick up the pieces?

self-centredness, this arrogance,
the assumption of your divinity
to play God.

maybe if men were a little more loyal
and a little less selfish,
the world will be a better place.

sunday

sunday is family day.

went out today for breakfast with all the old pple. none of my cousins or even my brother went. all the horrible pangsehers, shame on u! anyways, off we went to go the temple after breakfast to pray. woah, there were ten thousand people there, people mountain people sea, terrible! to make matters worse, it was raining so heavily, small little mummy and me scrambling under the umbrella for shelter against the strong wind and rain. it must be the "showers of blessing" people often talk about.

we were blessed.

after that, off we went to another temple to pray to another god, and then to whampoa for lunch. had chicken rice for lunch. quite a boring, oldies-only, day actually.

oh well, there's a paper 3 test tmr and i havent studied yet. good luck to me, may all the praying and showers help!

the sisterhood of the travelling pants

i just finished watching the show, so let me tell u a little more about it! the sisterhood is about 4 teenage girls finding a pair of jeans, and how it changed their lives. overall, the show is good for a summer teen movie, it has a story to tell and lets us reflect about how our lives can change for the better, if we actually let ourselves. confront your fears, dont be afraid to make a change, maybe u will see some positive results!

go watch the show, if it ever comes to singapore, if not find a way, by hook or by crook!

u dont know what u've got till its gone

many may wonder why i have this blog.

i needed to write something so that my sis can see this to know something about my life; to understand. seventeen said to share your thoughts and photos in an online journal, so maybe this will help.

the fact is, im afraid. from a happy family of 5, mine is reduced to a little 3. my mummy, my brother and me. lau pa travels a lot to earn the money so he's not here half the time.

i know u have to go, i understand, im just sad cos i know it wont be the same again.
